Daylight Signalling Lamp (ALDIS Lamp)

Daylight Signalling Lamp also called ALDIS lamp, is portable type lamp with SOLAS approved, designed for daylight signal communication between ships.

Aldis lamp is named after its inventor, Arthur Cyril Webb Aldis, who designed the portable version used widely by the British Navy and eventually adopted as a global maritime standard.
All ships of over 150 gross tonnage, as well as all passenger ships regardless of size, when engaged on international voyages, must be fitted with a daylight signalling lamp.

Tests Carried Out:

The tests for daylight signalling lamps comply with IEC60945:2002 incl. IEC 60945 Corr.1:2008. ISO 25861:2007.
