Accommodation Ladder

Accommodation Ladder designed under ISO 5488 is used on merchant ships to enable crew and pilots to embark and disembark safely.

  • Available with revolving-platform ladder and fixed-platform ladder
  • Available with fixed curved step or self-levelling step
  • Available with turntable and stowing system
  • MED or CCS certified

Made of seawater resistant aluminium alloy, with anti-slip fixed arc step or self-levelling step which provide a safe walking surface. Working inclination angles maximum 55 degrees from horizontal, make accommodation ladders are suitable for most of vessel types.

Tests Carried Out:

Prototype testing per ISO 5488 (2015) §8. After installation, onboard tests and inspection as specified in MSC.1/Circ.1331 §3.6 shall be carried out. For on board testing, reference is made to IMO circular MSC.1/Circ.1331 – IMO “Guidelines for Construction, Installation, Maintenance and Inspection of means of Embarkation and Disembarkation”.

Accommodation ladder as Revolving-platform ladder Type with the maximum inclination degree of 55 degree, with the following dimensions:
o Length = 3.6m – 18m (12-60 steps) in 0.6m increments (2-steps), step distance 300mm
o Width = 600 mm

o Length = 18.2m – 30.1m (52-86 steps) in 0.7m increments (2-steps), step distance 350mm
o Width = 600 mm

Pilot accommodation ladder as Fixed-platform ladder Type with the maximum inclination degree of 45 degree, with the following dimensions:

o Length = 3.6m – 18m (12-60 steps) in 0.6m increments (2-steps), step distance 300mm
o Width = 600 mm

o Length = 18.2m – 30.1m (52-86 steps) in 0.7m increments (2-steps), step distance 350mm
o Width = 600 mm
