Mobile Water Monitor

Mobile Water Monitor is designed for container ships which constructed on or after 1 January 2016 which carry five or more tiers of containers on or above the weather deck.

Regulation states that vessels carrying containers on or above the weather deck, constructed on or after January 2016 shall carry at least one water mist lance. Further, vessels designed to carry five or more tiers of containers on or above the weather deck, shall carry a number of mobile water monitors.

Tests Carried Out:

Tests has been carried out in compliance with IMO MSC.1/Circ.1472 (Guidelines for the design, performance,testing and approval of mobile water monitors used for the protection of on-deck cargo areas of ships designed and constructed to carry five ormore tiers of containers on or above the weather deck).

Field of Application:

Mobile Water Monitor is used for Protection of On Deck Container Stacks, in accordance with Reg.II-2/10.7.3.2 of SOLAS ’74 as amended.
Ships < 30m beam: At least two units
Ships ≥ 30m beam: At least four units
