Self Contained Breathing Apparatus 6.8L (Carbon Fibre)
Self Contained Breathing Apparatus known as SCBA, with 6.8L carbon fibre cylinder of positive pressure air at 300bar, is compressed-air-operated breathing apparatus for shipboard fire-fighters(maritime use only).

Each SCBA shall be used together with an approved lifeline (complying with the requirements of MED/3.44 and ISO23269-2 Para 4.28.) as part of the fire-fighters outfit according to FSS Code Ch.3.2.1.3.
Description
Introduction:
Self Contained Breathing Apparatus 6.8L (Carbon Fibre) is a positive‑pressure compressed‑air respiratory protective device, mandatory firefighting safety equipment for seagoing vessels, complying with SOLAS, FSS Code, MED Marine Equipment Directive, EN 136, EN137 and ISO 23269‑2 requirements.

- International Code for Fire Safety Systems as amended by MSC.339(91).

Tests Carried Out:
In accordance with ISO 23269-2:2011, EN 136:1998 including AC:2003 and EN 137:2006.
