Gravity Lifeboat Davit
Gravity Lifeboat Davit is a shipboard launch and recovery appliance designed in accordance with SOLAS and the IMO LSA Code.

Gravity davit relies entirely on the combined deadweight of the fully loaded lifeboat and davit arm to achieve outward stowage deployment and water launch without mandatory external power supply during emergency evacuation.
Type including: Luffing Arm Gravity Davit, Hydraulic Gravity Davit, Multi-Pivot Gravity Davit and Roller Gravity Davit.
Description
Introduction:
Gravity lifeboat davit is mandatorily installed on all international seagoing vessels ≥500 GT, offshore drilling platforms, FPSOs and mobile offshore units, as legally required by SOLAS Convention and national maritime authority regulations worldwide.
Comply with:
- Regulations 4 and 34, Chapter III of International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974, as Amended.
- Chapter I and VI of International Life-saving Appliance Code, as amended by MSC.218(82) and MSC.425(98).
- Part 1 and Part 2 of MSC.81(70) Revised Recommendation on Testing of Life-saving Appliance,as amended by MSC.226(82),MSC.427(98) and MSC.472(101).
- IMO 2009 MODU Code and its amendments
- Chapter 15 of Safety Code for Fixed Platform at Sea(2000)

In accordance with IMO Resolution MSC.81(70), as amended, Part1, Regulation 8.1
