The platform lifeboat davit is mainly used to launch the lifeboat by gravity or mechanical force in an emergency, so that personnel can evacuate quickly and safely from the offshore installation. Under normal conditions, it can also recover the lifeboat back to the stowed position for inspection, maintenance and re-stowage.
Platform Lifeboat Davit is designed for launching and recovering fully enclosed lifeboats and rescue boats on offshore platforms, drilling rigs, FPSOs and similar marine installations.
