Description
Introduction:
Under SOLAS Chapter II Regulation 17, all ships must carry a minimum of 2 sets fireman’s outfit to prevent firefighters from extreme heat, open flames, toxic smoke, and falling debris. The outfit is carefully assembled to safeguard the wearer from head to toe.
Comply with:
- Regulations 10, Chapter II-2 of International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974, as Amended
- Chapter 3 of MSC.98(73) International Code for Fire Safety Systems
- Chapter 3 of International Code for Fire Safety Systems as amended by MSC.339(91).
- EN 469-2005 protective clothing for firefighters – Performance requirements for protective clothing for firefighting
- EN 469:2020 protective clothing for firefighters – Performance requirements for protective clothing for firefighting
Tests Carried Out:
In accordance with EN469, MSC.98(73) as amended, and FSS code.
