Slewing Rescue Boat and Life Raft Davit

Slewing Rescue Boat and Life Raft Davit is a combined single arm davit, designed to simultaneously carry, launch and recover both rescue boat and life raft.

  • Hydraulic or Manual drive slewing
  • Gravity lowering and Electirc lifeting
  • Equipped with life raft hook
  • Optional with electric winch or hydraulic winch when used as crane
  • MED or CCS certificate

This combined single arm davit replaces separate rescue boat davit + independent life raft davit, reducing deck occupation, simplifying piping and control layout, lowering ship construction cost.

Description

Introduction:

This slewing rescue boat and life raft davit complies with SOLAS and IMO LSA code. It adopts a single rotary jib dual-purpose structure, capable of storing, launching and recovering both rescue boat and life raft on one set of equipment, which effectively saves ship deck space.

  1. Regulations 4 and 34, Chapter III of International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974, as Amended.
  2. Chapter I and VI of International Life-saving Appliance Code, as amended by MSC.218(82) and MSC.425(98).
  3. Part 1 and Part 2 of MSC.81(70) Revised Recommendation on Testing of Life-saving Appliance,as amended by MSC.226(82),MSC.427(98) and MSC.472(101).
  4. IMO 2009 MODU Code and its amendments
  5. Chapter 15 of Safety Code for Fixed Platform at Sea(2000)
