Embarkation Ladder is a rope ladder used on a merchant vessels to enable passengers and crews to safely embark to lifeboat or liferaft, comply with ISO 5489 and SOLAS requirements, approved by MED.

Description

Introduction:

Embarkation ladder is a flexible emergency rope ladder installed at survival‑craft embarkation stations onboard seagoing vessels, used to provide safe, controlled descent for crew and passengers from ship deck down to survival crafts.

Comply with:

  • Regulation 4 and 34, Chapter III of International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974, as Amended.
  • Chapter VI of MSC.48(66) International Life-saving Appliance Code.
  •  ISO5489-2024 Ships and marine technology -Embarkation ladders.
  • IMO Res.MSC.81(70), as amended
