Aluminium Clamps (Ferrules)

Aluminium clamps (ferrules) are essential parts replacing traditional hand whipping for manufacturing modern pilot ladders and embarkation ladders.

According to ISO 799 and ISO 5489, aluminium clamps (ferrules) shall be 5254 alloy or other grade containing not more than 0.06% copper, in accordance with ISO 209.

Description

Introduction:

Aluminium Clamps (Ferrules) are used to fasten each step of a pilot ladder and embarkation ladder, they are crimped mechanically onto the side ropes (manila rope or sisal rope) by purpose made arrangment such as solid plastic clamp blocks to prevent the fasteners from loosening, with a minimum breaking strength 800N.

H type aluminium clamps are ensure easily replaced on board the vessel without needing to completely unstring the entire ladder.
